5.) Rodeo Bleachers, review contract bids, Mark Johnson: need motion to be able to submit it to the county for approval
6.) Update on new barn: Will it be done by fair? Small animals need somewhere to go and we might have to rent a tent again which was $3500 for the week. No room for them in the Event Center.
6.) OSU APA Position: The search committee met and went over the position description with a few minor corrections. The corrections were made and the position was sent for approval to post the position. Hoping to post it next week.
7.) More 8ft tables: 4-H Association is going to buy 14 more 8 ft tables and wanted to know if the Fair Board would pay half. They will go in our storage barn and we will be able to rent them out all year. 4-H is buying them to help with the Christmas Bazaar since we don’t currently have enough. They will be Fair Board tables that the 4-H uses during the Christmas bazaar. Attached is their quote for $5,482. FB’s total would be $2741.
8.) HB3410 Business Oregon: Funds to be disbursed to eligible county fairs and fairgrounds for operation and revenue loss related to COVID shutdowns. Each county can ask for $81,081. Deadline is February 16, 2024
