6:30 Strategic Plan Implementation – Project leads for:
• Find a better way to communicate with local and federal agencies. Develop a map picture of watershed activities with the goal of better coordination of efforts.
• Network local agencies to locate a co-host for an annual permitting workshop for Eastern Oregon.
• Create an education committee composed of watershed council members, teachers, youths and other stakeholders.
• Develop materials for a watershed curriculum for youth education.
• Approach school districts to adopt a watershed curriculum.
• Develop and offer one permitting workshop per year for region landowners and agencies.
• Host an annual program designed to inform local landowners about the importance of maintaining the quality of the County’s watersheds.
• Provide information about stream management options and solutions problems for watershed stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Develop a more active presence on the internet, e.g. website, facebook, blogs.
