Transient Lodging Tax Committee Special Meeting Minutes

Tyler called the meeting to order at 9:00 am.
Members Present: Tyler Brown, Brian Vegter, Mandy Clark, and Matthew Koppenhaver
Guests Present: Jessica Hobson, Devon Colton, and Shelly Christensen
Approve Agenda: Brian moved to approve the agenda. Matthew seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Visitor Services Request for Proposal
The Committee reviewed the draft RFP for Visitors Services and recommended the following changes:
Term of contract from two years to five years.
Section 3: General Requirements and Scope of Proposals
Change bullet #6, now to read “Work closely with the contracted County Marketing Director”.
Change bullet #9, now to read “Maintain a centralized events calendar as a one-stop point of information for all Baker County events.
Add bullet #16, “Have a strategy to engage visitors virtually as well as in person to provide visitor information”.
Matthew made a motion to recommend the Baker County Commissioners approve the Visitor Services Request for Proposal with changes. Brian seconded the motion. Motion carried.
